The
internationally acclaimed troupe Soledad Barrio & Noche
Flamenca will return for an exclusive New York City engagement. The company that has turned up the heat
summers in New York, will bring a whole new kind of heat to the holiday
season.
The company, led
by flamenco phenomenon Soledad Barrio,
hailed by Alastair Macaulay of the New York Times as “one of the leading dancers of our time,” and celebrated around the
world as “the Baryshnikov of
Flamenco,” will return for their 12th season to their beloved New
York. A full program with premiere and
repertory works will be announced shortly.
Performances begin Christmas
Eve - Thursday, December 24th, 2009 and run through Saturday, January
16th at the Lucille Lortel Theater, 121 Christopher Street. General performance times are Tuesday through
Saturday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 5:00pm and 8:00pm, Sunday at 5:00pm. (There will be no performances on January 1
and 5. Also for the Friday, January 8
and 15, the performances will be at 7pm and 10pm.)
